What is the preferred currency for payment of freight?
A
Freight is accepted in US Dollars or local Jamaican dollars.   The latter is however subject to a surcharge.

Credit is subject to approval, given client payment track record among other criticia of the company..

What are the charges payable in Jamaica?

A
These include those for stripping, port development cess (PDC) and wharfage, custom duties, general consumption tax (GCT), agency fees, stamps and forms, haulage, security and removal and delivery (R & D).

What is the period for clearance and delivery of a shipment in Montego Bay or Kingston?

A
JTS, once all correct documentation is in place, will deliver cargo within 3 - 5 days of its arrival in the island.

How long does it take for cargo to get to Jamaica from New York and Miami? -

A
Transit time from the port New York is typically 5 days and from Miami it is two days.

Cargo is stripped within 2 - 4 days of arrival in Jamaica.   Our professional customer service representatives will call and advise you once your cargo is available.
